Manager Treasury & Investor Relations, RHÖN-KLINIKUM
When RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG’s treasury reached out to BELLIN, it was one of their top priorities to achieve visibility in connection with financial resources and liquidity in the group. They wanted to avoid cumbersome Excel data collection and aimed to facilitate cash positioning and liquidity planning and to optimize processes by introducing a Treasury Management System. Particularly sensitive processes in connection with payments were to be handled by means of a secure system. In addition to daily cash management and treasury processes, the small treasury team is also in charge of investor relations. A tight project plan enabled group-wide system implementation within a very short period of time.
Supported by BELLIN, RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG was able to introduce a fully integrated Cash Management solution within only a few months. Moreover, group-wide financial status reporting, long-term liquidity planning and the efficient administration of internal and external contracts were also implemented. By setting up connections to all of the group’s banks, all group accounts could be integrated in the solution. All cash flows are documented in the system, and payments outside of the system are no longer possible. This allows RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG to benefit from group-wide simplified, secure and transparent payment processes in one single system. Intercompany settlement is also supported: any intercompany fund transfers are posted automatically to various internal settlement accounts. This simplifies intercompany interest considerably.
Another aspect that was restructured is short- and mediumterm liquidity planning: actual figures are now taken directly from the ERP system via an interface, making it much easier to create a clear plan/actual comparison. This will do away with tedious data collection by means of Excel sheets. It is not just the holding company that benefits from the time and effort saved by using tm5. The individual hospitals also welcome straight-through processing and increased visibility.
